From the moment I fell pregnant with Leo (actually, truth be told it was wayyyy before that!), I knew what sort of space I wanted for the nursery.  Regardless of a boy or a girl, I wanted it to be a serene and soft space.

I’ve had a few comments about Leo’s nursery being gender neutral…..and I guess, yes it is… a way.  I didn’t design it to be as we knew from 20 weeks that we were having another boy.

My main aim was to create a really serene and soft space and that does tend to lean towards girly.  Which is why I added texture to the room.  Timber and leather are perfect for giving a more masculine touch, and I added quite a bit!

Sooooo……if the sonographer had written on that little bit of paper ‘girl’, what would I have created for her nursery?

The base would have been very similar to Leo’s but with a bit of glitz and peach.  I had known for the longest time that the first things I would have purchased were the large angel wings for the walls (no longer available) and the lace teepee.  Want to see?

I would have painted the whole room this beautiful pinky/peach colour (Dulux Camisole) and added white furniture, texture with the rug and a few bits of sparkle!

As you can see, very similar to Leo’s design board (below) which did change a little from this.

Wouldn’t it have been pretty!
